Growing up, Gina attended school in Canada and England. Travelling, she developed a deep respect for other cultures and an interest in foreign languages.
As a young teen she began working with youth in the Arts and was affectionately known as 'Miss Gina the Ballerina’ from there she climbed the ranks to Studio Director. A Musical Theater major and Education minor on a Dance scholarship, the direction of her life changed after an accident when she was subsequently diagnosed with a neurological disorder.
An accomplished actress who now relies on a wheelchair for mobility, Gina is enthusiastic about life.“We all have challenges ... some are visible, others are not ’’ she states, ‘‘The key is being able to work around those challenges with dignity”. Gina considers working with Youth a joy.
She has developed and taught programs for Christian Youth Theater, Youth Opportunities Network, the Boys &Girls Club , YMCA, as well as the City Parks and Rec and has hosted Sing-a-longs for

ETC & Company. In addition to her own performance background Miss Gina is the co-founder of Erickson House Productions and has staged a number of family oriented shows at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido and around the county. As a choreographer she has joined the artistic team of several local youth theaters and is always enthusiastic to watch her cast perform. It is a thrill when students invite Miss Gina to their school plays and dance recitals. She is happy to go and show her support.
Raised with a strong work ethic, her family supported community involvement and were active in volunteering. It has been important to Gina to follow that example. Whether mentoring a teen withDifference Makers, assisting music therapists who work with Alzheimer care patients in the Resounding Joy program , acting as Team captain for the MS Walk , training to tutor with Laubach Literacy , or her years of involvement at the California Center for the Arts; contributing to our community has always been a rewarding experience for her.
